One of our committee members, Paul Violet, is chairman and leader of the Waltham Abbey Town Partnership.
One of the several events that he organises is the annual Waltham Abbey Pancake Races.
This has become a Waltham Abbey tradition and attracts competitors from across the town, and beyond. (This year there were three vìsitors from Canada taking part!)
It is always a highlight of the Town calendar, and this year, in spite of the drizzle, was certainly no exception.
Competitors from pre-school to care home, and all between, took part in what proved to be a memorable occasion.
Always supported by the local Tesco store and the town council (represented by the Town Mayor who presented the prizes), Paul is always most appreciative of the positivity that the event creates.
Only 12 months to wait for the next one!
