Over two weekends in November, the Epping Forest Chamber of Commerce proudly joined forces with local Parish Councillors, members of the Royal British Legion (RBL), and the wider community to support the annual Poppy Appeal. Together, we collected an impressive £2,792.56 to support the vital work of the RBL in aiding veterans, serving members of the Armed Forces, and their families.
Collecting for a Cause
Our efforts took us to two prominent community locations: North Weald Airfield and the bustling Saturday Market. These vibrant settings allowed us to engage with a wide cross-section of the community, raising not only funds but also awareness of the importance of remembering and supporting those who have served their country.
The kindness and generosity of the community were evident as visitors contributed to the collection while sharing their own stories and connections to the Armed Forces.
Team Effort
This initiative was a true community collaboration. We extend heartfelt thanks to the Parish Councillors and the dedicated members of the Royal British Legion who joined us in making these collections a success. Their commitment and passion for the cause were inspiring and instrumental in achieving this fantastic result.
Supporting the Royal British Legion
Every penny raised through the Poppy Appeal helps fund the RBL’s vital work, from providing financial assistance and mental health support to campaigning for the rights of veterans and active service personnel. By wearing a poppy and donating, our community contributes to ensuring that those who have sacrificed so much are never forgotten.
A United Community
The Epping Forest Chamber of Commerce is proud to be part of a community that values remembrance and generosity. We thank everyone who donated, volunteered, or stopped to show their support. This collective effort highlights the strength of our community spirit and the difference we can make when we come together.
Together, We Remember
The success of these collections is a testament to the dedication of everyone involved. With £2,792.56 raised, the Epping Forest community has made a meaningful contribution to the Royal British Legion’s mission. Thank you for standing with us to honor those who serve and have served.
We look forward to continuing our support for this important cause in the years to come. Together, we remember. Together, we make a difference.
