The Chamber hosted an evening networking event at the new venue – Epping Upper Clapton Rugby Football Club last evening (24th October 2023).
The event was well attended with over 30 delegates. Rev. Kevin Clark – The Chambers workplace chaplain attended and was well received – saying how important it is to keep in touch. The reverend said he is always available for mentoring and being there if anyone just wanted a chat – whatever faith and in confidence.
Refreshments were provided with tea/coffee and selection of sandwiches and cakes.
Main Speaker
The main speaker was Sarah Harris from Haven House Hospice. Sarah gave a talk on the valuable work the hospice does in being there to support families and loved ones in what is a terrible time. Sarah also showed a brief film on Haven House and highlighted the help and care the hospice provides.
Sarah went on to say Haven House is always open – so If you would like to see firsthand what they do – Haven House would always welcome visitors.
Haven House rely on the goodwill and support of the community in fund raising and any ideas you may have to highlight the charity or to raise awareness – Haven House would only be too pleased to hear from you. Take a look at their website for further information.
Spotlight on the Member
Our first Spotlight on the Member was Mitch Herber from Catalyst Design and Print.
Mitch has been a member of the Chamber for many years and has served on the Executive Committee for a number of years.
